GTPOW 100W Bifacial Portable Solar Panel

This is a nice quality 100W portable panel. It is lightweight and easy to setup. The case it comes in doubles as a stand, with adjustable braces. The panel doesn't use mc4 connectors, rather it has 2X USB-A, 1 USB-C & one small 20V DC plug. It doesn't come with any wires, so I need to get the dc plug to charge my power station with it.I have used it to charge various USB-C devices. With a clear view of the sun it will do PD fast charging. It is very easy to set this up quickly.

Set expectations on the math first. 100 watts under good sun for six usable hours gets you somewhere around 500 watt hours on a great day, and real world numbers land lower once you account for angle, temperature, and clouds. If you are trying to keep a 1000Wh power station topped off while actually using it, one of these is not going to do it. Trickling a slow recharge into a solar generator over a full day is realistic. Keeping up with meaningful draw is not.Where it makes much more sense is as a power source in its own right. The dual USB-A and 65W USB-C PD outputs mean you can skip the power station entirely for a lot of use cases. Phones, tablets, headlamps, a laptop if the sun cooperates. Set it out in the morning and let it feed devices directly instead of paying the conversion loss of charging a battery to then charge a phone. For camping and van use that is often the smarter workflow. Save your batteries or gas for bigger fish.The bifacial construction is a nice touch and does pick up some extra from reflected light off sand, snow, or a light colored surface. It is not a doubling of output no matter what the marketing implies, but on the right ground it is measurable. On grass or dirt do not expect much.Build quality is decent. The panel folds cleanly, the fabric backing feels durable, and the kickstand holds angle without fighting you. IP67 on the panel means a rain shower will not end your trip, though I still would not leave the port block sitting in a puddle. The junction box and cabling are the parts I would watch over time on any panel in this class.The DC output includes adapters for common power station inputs, so compatibility with Jackery, EcoFlow, Bluetti, and Anker units is covered.Weight and folded size are reasonable. It packs flat enough to slide behind a seat or along a wall in a van build without eating storage you need for something else. Packing on a hike may be another story.The 25% efficiency claim is a cell level number and not what you should expect at the output terminals. Judge it by the watts you actually see, which in my experience tracked reasonably close to rated under clear midday sun and dropped off predictably from there.Four stars. It is a well built panel that does what a 100W panel can do. Just buy it understanding what 100 watts actually means. If you want to meaningfully recharge a large power station from solar, you want two or three of these or a bigger panel. If you want a portable way to keep devices running off grid, this is a good tool for that job.

Overview: A 100W bifacial foldable solar panel with multiple charging ports that works fine but doesn't include a DC cable for power stations.I've tried out this solar panel a few times now while camping, and it works fine ??, but it doesn't come with any DC to XT60 power cable, so if you're planning to charge a power station straight out of the box, you'll need to buy that separately. Worth knowing before you're standing in a field wondering why nothing's connecting. The bifacial design supposedly pulls in extra power off reflected light from the ground, which makes sense if you're near sand or snow, and the "N-type monocrystalline cells" are rated around 25% efficiency, solid for something this size.It's got a 4 port hub built in, DC output, USB-C PD up to 65 watts, and two USB-A ports, so it can juice up a laptop and a couple phones at the same time without extra adapters ??. Weighs under 5 lbs, folds down small with a magnetic handle, and the ETFE coating held up fine through some morning dew and dust without any issues. My tip, order the DC cable ahead of time if your power station needs it, that way you're not stuck waiting once you're already set up ???. Value is pretty good otherwise.

This is a really great portable solar panel. I can charge my phone, outdoor speakers, or even my computer directly from the panel without needing a power station. Living in an area with strong sunlight, it has worked exactly as advertised.I'm excited to pair it with a power station and see what it can really do. It's a little large for everyday carrying, but the built in handles make it easy to transport. It's also surprisingly lightweight for its size and simple to set up.Overall, I'm very happy with it and think it's a great portable option.

Had this out yesterday when it was sunny, and this thing actually works quite well. I could keep a small laptop charged and charge a smartphone at the time, believe it or not (while the internal battery was charging too)So for camping it's great, just make sure that the output voltage via USB-C can charge what you want it to, and yes this includes 9v / 12v and even 20v, along with a general output that can charge external battery packs (that i didn't test)
