GTPOW 40W 両面受光式ポータブルソーラーパネル

I acquired this solar panel charger for my ham radio hobby and for bolstering my emergency preparedness kit, especially since we live in a hurricane-prone area. I've tested it out in both sunny and shady backyard conditions, and overall, it seems to perform well.
The portability is definitely the biggest selling point; it packs down nicely and comes with a carrying case, making it suitable for camping. While the ads suggest it's great for hiking, I found that with its compact size and weight, it might not be worth the extra burden on a long hike. However, it is absolutely great for car camping or for emergency preparedness, which is exactly what I needed it for.
As with any panel, I would definitely suggest adding a battery system for consistent power output. This panel can effectively keep devices topped up throughout the day, delivering up to 40W of power when used correctly. It seems made well and durable, with water resistance built in.

This is a very compact, high quality 40W portable panel. It is quite lightweight and easy to setup. The case it comes in doubles as a stand, with adjustable braces. The panel doesn't use mc4 connectors, rather it has 1X USB-A, 1 USB-C & one small 20V DC plug. It doesn't come with any wires, so you will need to get the dc plug if you want to charge my power station with it.I have used it to charge various USB devices, it excels at this. With a clear bright view of the sun it will do 20w charging via usb-c. It is very easy to set this up quickly. It is waterproof and it has a durable build. When it's folded up is is around the size of a tablet.

This foldable solar panel is a convenient option for portable power when camping, traveling, or spending time away from traditional electrical outlets. The folding design makes it relatively easy to carry and store, while the multiple output options provide flexibility for different devices and charging setups.I like having USB C, USB A, and DC outputs available in one panel. This makes it useful with a variety of electronics and gives you more options depending on what you need to charge.
The 40W rating is also a reasonable size for a portable panel without making the unit excessively large or cumbersome. The bifacial design is an interesting feature, although actual solar charging performance will naturally depend on sunlight intensity, panel positioning, and surrounding conditions. It is important to have realistic expectations about charging speeds since portable solar panels are affected considerably by weather and available sunlight.
The foldable construction is convenient for transportation, and the panel is easy to incorporate into a camping or off grid setup. It is better suited to portable charging and maintaining smaller electronics than replacing a dedicated power station or larger permanent solar system.Overall, this is a practical portable solar panel with a convenient folding design and useful range of output connections. The combination of portability, multiple charging options, and solar capability makes it a useful accessory for camping and other off grid situations.

I took this foldable solar panel camping and was impressed by how easy it was to carry since it folds down small enough to fit in my gear without taking up much space. I used it to keep my phone and a few other small devices charged during the day, and having both USB-C and USB-A outputs made it convenient to handle different cables. The bifacial design is an interesting feature because placing it where there was reflected light seemed to give it a little more useful output than I expected from a panel this size. I also liked not having to worry much about a little rain, dust, or rough handling because the sealed construction feels much more rugged than a typical portable charger. Charging performance obviously depends heavily on direct sunlight, so I wouldn't expect the advertised wattage continuously when clouds or shade move in. At around 2.2 pounds, it's still reasonable for car camping, kayaking, emergency backup, or longer trips where portability matters more than having a larger panel.

I picked up this bifacial panel for camping trips and it's been a handy little thing to have around. The 40W bifacial design is interesting because it picks up light from both sides, which helps when you're not in perfect direct sun. I've used it to charge my phone and tablet directly through the USB-C port, and it does the job, though obviously it's not as fast as a wall charger. The foldable design makes it super easy to pack, and the built-in kickstand helps angle it toward the sun. The USB-A output is also there for older devices, so you've got some flexibility. It definitely helps keep my power bank topped up on longer off-grid stays when paired with a portable battery.
